Tatra Mountains – Zakopane tour

Zakopane is a small, picturesque town (with more than 20 thousand inhabitants) in Małopolskie Voivodship, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. The mountain peaks Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch which are located in the vicinity of Zakopane are often frequented by tourists. The beginnings of Zakopane date to the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries when the first settlers began to flow into the area of the future city. The city is also associated with many known Polish culture figures who contributed to its popularity (one of them was Henryk Sienkiewicz, author of the historical novel “Quo vadis”, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1905).
